ICO stands for “Initial Coin Offering” and it is a means of raising crypto-capital through a public campaign by distributing tokens to the contributors. A digital asset or token is issued for a specific purpose with platform utility in mind. After the ICO process is done, the tokens may be used in a platform or traded on crypto-exchanges, with market supply and demand deciding on its fair value.

The purpose of our Pre-ICO round is to ascertain community interest regarding our platform and obtain pre-seed funds for our aggressive marketing strategy plan. This will allow us to avoid traditional venture capital funding, and still obtain the some leverage before launching our full-blown ICO.

Blockchain is a decentralised distributed ledger technology which accurately records and stores data and information into ‘blocks’. Each block is then linked and secured using mathematical game theory and cryptography. Through this process, a decentralised and incorruptible ledger is created through an open source peer-to-peer network.

Both bitcoin, and Ethereum are distributed blockchain networks. Ethereum is an open source platform based on blockchain technology. Its primary focus is to allow people to create and deploy decentralised applications.

In its simplest form, ECR-20 Tokens are assets which are built on the Ethereum platform and are the standard interface for the token code. These tokens allow secure closing of smart contracts and interaction with applications present on the Ethereum blockchain.

Smart contracts are a way to facilitate exchange anything of value through a self operating program that will execute under specified conditions. As smart contracts are built on the blockchain, they will run as programmed thus making them immutable from censorship, manipulation and fraud.

Hedge Coin Capital is incorporated in Australia, with our engineering operations being based in Asia and America, and advisors and collaborators from all over the world, including the United States, China and Singapore. We wholeheartedly respect the law in all locations we operate and abide by their laws and regulations.

At present, we are unable to post a guaranteed list of all exchanges we will be listed on, as contract negotiations are underway with multiple parties. HCL will appear on several exchanges around September 2018.

The NAV (net asset value) of each unit in the funds will have live prices in the phone app or website when you log into the HCC platform.

Unfortunately, Australian and US citizens and residents are not allowed to participate in the ICO due to Australia and US Security Law restrictions. We wholeheartedly respect all country laws in all locations we operate, and urge you to obtain more information regarding specific financial laws in your jurisdiction. You can participate in the ICO if you are neither an Australian or U.S. citizen or permanent resident of Australia or the United States, nor have a primary residence or domicile in the United States, including Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and any other territories of the United States.

Once the ICO has been completed, Hedge Coin Capital will accept private and institutional investors from any country, including Australia and the US.

Unfortunately, we can only accept contributions in ETH for the ICO. In the future, we plan to accept other cryptocurrencies into our platform exchange.

Yes, our current minimum contribution stake is set at 1.0 ETH.

Not at present. If you plan on contributing a significant amount we encourage you to contact us directly before the round opens, as we have a limited percentage pre-allocated for private backers.

Purchasing in the earlier rounds yields significantly lower prices per token as well as higher numbers of bonus tokens. Please refer to the offering table above for details.

The smartphone app will allow you to monitor and check your portfolio and investments at all times on the go, as well as sell and buy HCL tokens at the convenience of your fingertips. Contributors will also be able to change their fund and redeem their investment.

The total maximum supply of HCL is 136,000,000 tokens.  The available HCL tokens for circulation in the Pre-ICO and ICO period is 79,564,213 tokens. Any tokens not purchased during the ICO period will be placed in the Treasury.

A unique address will be generated for both ETH and HCL which you will be using to deposit your contribution. Any transaction using the given address will count as your contribution to the project. More details will be made available closer to the Pre-ICO date.

After a period of 10 days following the ICO closure date, you will be able to add a ETH address to your contributor profile in order to withdraw your HCL tokens.

Yes we encourage contributors to consider their own risk and investment profile and choose a mixture of funds within HCC.

To receive your tokens on your MyEtherwallet.com you need to:

  1. Open your wallet
  2. Find in the bottom right section where you can add a custom token.

The tokens will be redeemable 3 days after the ICO ends.

A guide explaining on how to setup a MyEtherWallet in order to receive the tokens will be sent to all contributors after the end of the ICO on our blog.

A soft cap is the minimum amount we want to raise in our ICO to roll out the services and platforms to facilitate our business model. The soft cap set for HCL is $1 million.

A hard cap is the ideal amount we want to raise. The hard cap set for HCL is $60.5 million.

In the event the the soft cap of $1 million is not achieved, we will continue developing the HCC blockchain platform with any collected ICO proceeds, following our tentative roadmap of operational development.

You will need the following to be able to participate in our Pre-ICO or ICO:

  • A whitelisted account on our portal
  • A verified identity (Driver’s License or Passport)
  • An ETH wallet, where you will receive your HCL tokens
  • Ethereum to contribute

Initially, in order to buy HCL, you will have to buy it from us on our website. You cannot buy it with USD, only ETH. So you need ETH to enter. If you want to sell all your HCL back to us, we will only buy it with ETH on our website. When exchanges offer HCL, the limits on currencies with which our tokens can be bought and sold will be determined only by those exchanges.

The hedge fund will officially launch in Q2 2018 or Q3 2018, depending on the success of the Pre-ICO launch. We expect the fund will be launched in June 2018.

Presently we do not plan to allow staking on the HCL token during the ICO. Initially, HCL can only be acquired if purchased with ETH. In the future, bonus tokens may be available to contributors as rewards, if they’ve stayed with us for more than a year, if they participated in our ICO, if they refer others to our company or similar loyalties. HCC may call this giving of bonus tokens to investors ‘staking’ for simplicity, but it will not constitute proof of work.

Contributors who choose to hold the HCL token will receive a dividend payment based on the profit of Hedge Coin Capital. The dividends will be paid in HCL directly into the chosen wallet. The profit of Hedge Coin Capital is based on the performance of the funds being managed. We envision that the dividends will be between 15 – 20% p.a.

Token holders, not fund participants, are eligible for quarterly dividends based on holding time within the quarter.

No, HCL tokens cannot be mined.

HCC may invest in other assets such as traditional companies, private equity companies and real estate. The future goal is to allow contributors to further diversify their assets outside of crypto-currencies and to generate income.

Purchasing or trading HCL within the Hedge Coin Capital Platform is fee free.

Entry Fee – 5.0%
Management Fee – 2.5% p.a.
Performance Fee – 20.0%

* Refer to full terms and conditions provided prior to launch in Q2 2018

By owning HCL Tokens, holders are eligible in a share of the profits of the company, allowing them to share in the success and gains of the business.

The NAV will be fixed in USD valuation. Ethereum tokens are only used for entry and exit to the HCC platform.

HCC has many investment strategies, of which a proportion of the portfolio is not affected by market corrections such as automated trading systems, margin trading, cash held as USD Tether, ICOs and other hedge fund allocations to cash. This diversified system of strategies allows contributors to make money in bull and bear cycles as well as protecting against the adverse effects of market crashes.

Yes, contributors will be able to switch investments within the fund. Contributors will be given the option to switch based on your fund investment choice liquidity mandate. For example, if you are currently in the Alpha fund, you may only switch at the end of the week.

Hedge Coin Capital’s founders will be subject to a market escrow period of over 24 months. The market escrow policy of all HCC staff and external advisors will be subject to a 3 – 6 month period before being eligible to sell tokens.

If you choose to exit the fund, your fund units would need to be converted into HCL within our platform, which you can then redeem for other cryptocurrencies. Based on your fund investment choice, you may only liquidate at the end of the week, month, or quarter.

Yes. The minimum requirement contribution for this service is $500,000 USD. We will also need to assess your risk profile objectives before we offer this VIP service to any client.

HCC will engage a Custodial Service in Q1 2019. These are services that are offered through a independent body or other licensed intermediary that function as part of the client agreement to safe keep the assets of the contributors through relevant market regulations, rules and laws.
